Route 70 Maintenance Improvement Project Begins

New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) officials recently announced the start of a maintenance project to improve the condition of Route 70 in both directions from mile post 0.0 in Pennsauken to mile post 7.6 in the Cherry Hill area.
On Monday, June 20, NJDOT contractor, Joseph Defino Trucking Co., began erecting signs informing the public of the upcoming work. Construction is expected to begin the following week at Haddonfield Road and advance toward the Turnpike overpass on Route 70. The work will include milling and paving the road surface and concrete. Lane closures will be limited to off peak times to decrease the impact on the motoring public.
