Pennsauken Township and the Pennsauken Environmental Commission will be hosting a shredding event for residents on Saturday, April 23 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Pennsauken Township Municipal Complex, located at 5605 North Crescent Blvd. Residents can drive up to a secure shredding truck provided by Shred One Security Corporation, sign in, and safely dispose of unneeded documents that contain personal information.

Attendees to the shredding event are asked to keep the following in mind:

• This paper-only shredding event is for individuals, not businesses
• Items that can be shredded include anything that has your signature, account number, social security number, etc., as well as any type of medical or legal information; documents can range from bank statements and credit card offers to tax forms and utility bills
• This is not a recycling event; also, items such as hard cover books, magazines, etc. will not be accepted
• Last year’s event was extremely well attended; residents are encouraged not to wait until the last minute to attend
• As the shredding event will be occurring while the Pennsauken Free Public Library is open for business, residents are asked to mindful of Library patrons who will also be entering the Township’s Municipal Complex

Important Information To Be Aware Of

1. The event will end sooner than advertised if the truck reaches capacity

2. Again, residents should bring only confidential/sensitive materials – magazines and non-confidential papers should be recycled curbside

3. This is a garbage-free event – whatever containers (boxes or plastic or paper bags your material is brought in), must be brought home by residents.

For those unable to attend this year’s event, Camden County will hold its next shredding event on Saturday, May 21, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Camden County College Parking Lot in Gloucester Township.
