Veterans And Their Families Invited To Special Musical Performance
Published by Anonymous (not verified) on Tue, 10/28/2014 - 13:25Valued members of the Camden County veterans' community and their families are cordially invited as guests of the Camden County Freeholder Board to attend a special musical performance of the Philharmonic of Southern New Jersey titled Saluting Our Veterans.
The concert and supporting events will be held on Sunday, November 2, 2014, at Eastern High School Performing Arts Center, 1401 Laurel Oak Road, Voorhees, New Jersey. The afternoon session has been designed for your enjoyment with a schedule as follows:
1:00 p.m. VIP Reception
2:00 p.m. Pre-Concert Talk
3:00 p.m. Saluting Our Veterans Concert
This military-themed musical event has been billed as having the power to honor, to comfort, and to heal. This program of all-American music honors veterans from across the region, and features "Dreams of the Fallen," with powerful music by Jake Runestad and text by poet and Iraq War veteran Brian Turner, co-commissioned by PSNJ, the Louisiana Philharmonic and the World War II Museum.
