Tax Assessor's Office

The Tax Assessor's office is responsible for the valuation of all the real property in the Township. To determine the assessed value of real property, the Assessor follows guidelines developed by the New Jersey Division of Taxation. The different classes of property are as follows: vacant land, residential, farmland, commercial and apartments.

All properties are taxed using the same tax rate.

Duties of the Assessor

• Inspect and assess all new construction and improvements
• Process five-year abatement applications
• Review deeds and update ownership records
• Process applications for Senior/Disabled and Veterans deductions
• Defend tax appeals
• Conduct sales study ratio for County tax equalization
