Municipal Clerk's Office Gene Padalino, RMC-Township Clerk The Township Clerk holds a statutory office required in every municipality in New Jersey and must have attained certification to hold the position. The Township Clerk is appointed by the governing body. Pennsauken Township has a Township Committee form of government. The Township's governing body is composed of five members elected at large for staggered three-year terms. The Mayor and Deputy Mayor are chosen from and by the members of the Township Committee to serve a one-year term. Some of the functions of the Township Clerk include:

The Township Clerk's Office also handles Vital Statistic requests. The Township has on file birth, marriage and death records for any of these events that occurred in the Township.
