Economic Development

Overview

The Economic Development Department is dedicated to supporting businesses of all sizes within our community, from startups to well-established enterprises. Our efforts encompass a broad spectrum of initiatives aimed at fostering economic growth and sustainability.

These efforts include organizing job fairs and training programs, promoting the sustained production of goods and services locally, and assisting businesses with navigating regulatory processes at the local, county, and state levels. We are also committed to revitalizing key areas such as Westfield Avenue and Route 130, ensuring they remain vibrant economic hubs.

Collaboration with investors is integral to our strategy, facilitating opportunities for sustainable development and growth. We work closely with the Planning & Zoning Department and engage residents to align economic initiatives with community priorities, ultimately enhancing overall quality of life.

Our work contributes to raising the standard of living for both residents and businesses in Pennsauken, which boasts over 1,200 businesses crucial to maintaining a stable tax base. Notably, our township has become a preferred location for businesses, exemplified by the recent relocation of "Scrub Daddy," an international cleaning products company, which chose Pennsauken for its global headquarters.

From startups to major relocations, our team supports diverse business ventures by promoting innovation and creating an environment conducive to business success. We are dedicated to shaping a dynamic economy that benefits all stakeholders, ensuring our township thrives through economic empowerment and inclusive growth. Discover how we're shaping the future of Pennsauken through robust economic development initiatives.
