Easter Egg Hunt 2018
DUE TO THIS WEEK'S SNOW AND THE CONDITION OF THE FIELDS, PENNSAUKEN'S EASTER EGG HUNT IS BEING MOVED TO ITS SNOW DATE OF SATURDAY, MARCH 31
Grab your baskets and your camera: Pennsauken Township’s annual Easter Egg Hunt is right around the corner!
This year’s event, sponsored by the Pennsauken Youth Action Committee and Kiddie Junction, will take place Saturday, March 31, 10:00 a.m., at the Walt Nicgorski Sports Complex, located at Powell and Collins avenues. The Easter Egg Hunt is open to children up to age 9.
“This is a great annual event that Pennsauken families look forward to every year,” says Elwood Martz, head of the Township’s Parks and Recreation Department. “We strongly encourage families to arrive early to make sure they get their picture taken with everyone’s favorite, long-eared celebrity.”
There will be three separate egg hunts broken down by age groups. Each hunt will feature special golden eggs. A child that collects one of these golden eggs will win a free Easter gift basket donated by Kiddie Junction.
In addition, family members should bring their cameras or cell phones to take free pictures with the Easter Bunny, who will be in attendance throughout the event.
Children should be at the sports complex no later than 9:45 a.m. The egg hunts start promptly at 10:00 a.m. and end fairly quickly. The event is usually over within a half hour. In addition, participants should bring a bag, basket, or other container to store their eggs.
