Senior Citizen Prom Held On April 2

Sponsored by the Pennsauken Education Association, the Senior Citizen Prom will be on Sunday, April 2 from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the Pennsauken High School Cafeteria. This great annual event features lunch; great music to dance to, courtesy of High Noone Express; and the Optical Academy will also be on hand from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. to provide eye exams. Immediately after the prom, seniors will be escorted to the auditorium to watch Pennsauken High School’s performance of “The Wedding Singer.” And it’s all FREE to Pennsauken seniors!

Seniors can RSVP for the event by calling the Senior Citizen Coordinator’s office at (856) 665-1000 x125. Please provide your full name, phone number, and number of people in your party.

Pennsauken's Senior Services Coordinator

Sonny DiSabato is the senior coordinator for Pennsauken Township as well as the vice president of Senior Coordinators in Camden County.

Sonny is the liaison between the township and various senior groups in Pennsauken.

As the coordinator Sonny attends 8 meetings a month during which he distributes information from the town, the county and the state as needed. Sonny also attends a monthly county senior services meeting.

Sonny can be contacted in the municipal building on Tuesdays & Thursdays from
8:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.

Sonny will visit senior homes to advise and or give information to people who are physically unable to come to the municipal building.

The Senior Coordinator along with the Parks & Recreation Director hosts an annual pool party for seniors.

Pennsauken Township offers a Senior Bus to those seniors who have no other means of transportation in order for them to go grocery shopping. Click here to view the Senior Bus Schedule.

To enroll in Pennsauken's Senior Bus program, call Public Works at 856-663-0178 and provide your name, full address and phone number.
