Parks & Recreation

Parks and Recreation department works in concert with Public Works, Administration and the Board of Education to ensure that the parks and playgrounds are maintained, kept clean and available to use for the public.

The director is the township liaison to the Pennsauken Youth Athletic Association as well as being responsible for coordination of activities with the High School Athletic program. In addition the director has oversight for events such as the Holiday Parade, The Pennsauken Car and Bike Show, the Easter Egg hunt and summer programs. The director is constantly looking for new ideas on how to improve the quality of life for our residents and children in particular pertaining to indoor and outdoor recreation. PYAA MAIN FIELD HOUSE - Elm and Marion Avenues

One lighted football field, four baseball fields and playground equipment.

PICKLEBALL COMPLEX - River Road

Gated and lighted pickleball courts with restrooms.

MEADOWBROOK PARK - Cooper Avenue

One tennis court, one sand volleyball court and playground equipment (handicap accessible). This site also houses the Bow Wow Dog Park. There is a small parking lot and bathrooms (unlocked for reserved parties only).

WALT NICGORSKI SPORTS COMPLEX - Powell and Collins Avenues

One lighted Babe Ruth field with snack stand, one lighted soccer field, one mini soccer field, four micro soccer fields with snack stand, parking lot and small playground.

BETHEL FIELD - Bethel Avenue and Wm. Brey Drive

Three softball fields with snack stand, three t-ball fields, playground equipment and two horseshoe pits.

COLLINS TRACT PARK - Githens and Sherman Avenues

One practice softball field, one basketball court and playground equipment.

FRANK KRIMMEL PARK - Osler and New Jersey Avenues

One basketball court, playground equipment and picnic area.

EAST PENNSAUKEN PARK - Haddonfield Road and Orchard Avenue

One small baseball field.

DELAWARE GARDENS PARK - Tinsman Avenue and River Road

Two baseball fields, practice soccer field and walk or bike path.

MUNICIPAL SWIMMING POOL COMPLEX - 6100 River Road

Three pools, pool house, pool snack stand, playground equipment, one horseshoe pit, picnic area, two tennis courts, one roller hockey rink and parking lot. Membership required for use of the pool - daily passes available for members only.

HOCKEY RINK - 6125 River Road

Clubhouse with restrooms (membership required) and one street hockey rink.

STOW ROAD PARK - Union Avenue and Stow Road

One softball field, one tennis court, one hockey rink, playground equipment and picnic area (Green Acres ground).

DELAIR PARK - June and Sheppard Road

One basketball court and playground equipment.

WESLEY GAINES PARK - Forrest and Velde Avenues

One basketball court, playground equipment, baseball field, a walk/bike path, picnic area and parking lot.
