Incident At Buckeye Terminal

Last night at 10:00 p.m., Pennsauken's Fire Department responded to a call that a fuel barge had crashed into the Buckeye Terminal at 123 Derouse Ave. in Pennsauken. The U.S. Coast Guard was also on site.

As a result of the accident, a minor gasoline leak, under 50 gallons, spilled into the Delaware River. The cleanup of the spill was quickly conducted by a contractor hired by Buckeye.

There are no environmental issues stemming from the accident and at no time was public safety compromised.
